| I am interested in using
one of your stallions. What do I do first? |
- If you
are interested in using one of our stallions and would like
to talk to someone at Umm Qarn, please ring Gillian Hay on
+44 (0) 1342 870217. The earlier this is, the better
as no shipments can be sent until
- Mare
is approved
-
Contract signed by both parties
-
Payment is received by Umm Qarn Farm
-
Health papers need to be ordered. This can take up to
two weeks
Some stallions such as Amer have a
waiting list from season to season |

| Chilled or Frozen?
How do I choose which to use? |
Whether you are sent chilled
or frozen semen will depend on a variety of factors. They will
all be discussed with you before you sign the contract
-
Location of mare – it may be impossible to ship from
stallion to mare within the 48 hour period required for
chilled semen
-
Preference of client’s veterinarian – some vets do not
have the facilities to store frozen semen once it has been
shipped.

countries outside the EU no VAT is applicable. |
| |
| What additional costs are
involved? |
| These will be discussed but as
a general rule they are

| If my mare does not get in
foal what happens next? |
| Whilst success rates for AI
are good, if your mare does not get in foal the breeding fee is
refunded less 15% or as according to the contract. |
