Al Shamoos is the only
mare owned by Umm Qarn by the successful French stallion Djourman.
She is bred on her dam's side from one of the most impressive female
French lines. Al Shamoos was quite successful in her first
season racing in UK, winning her maiden and being placed on numerous
occasions including a close second in the Breeders Cup Final at
Newmarket. She was retired to stud in 2001.
